Service overview
This is the standard unit of certified legal translation in Thailand. Each page is translated by a linguist registered with the Ministry of Justice, then passed through two independent review rounds — first linguistic, then legal terminology. The finished file carries the translator's personal seal, signature and registration number on a Translator's Certificate, which is what Thai courts, the Department of Provincial Administration, the Department of Business Development and the Revenue Department look for when they ask for a "certified" translation. One A4 page is counted as up to 300 words; longer pages are billed per additional word. Delivery is a digitally signed PDF plus a hard copy collected at our Bangkok branch (Lat Phrao 95) or sent by registered post nationwide. FAQ
- How is a MoJ certified translation different from an agency certification?
- A Ministry of Justice certified translation is signed and sealed by a translator holding a registration number with the Thai Ministry of Justice. Thai courts and justice-sector bodies accept it without a second certification. An ordinary agency certification only attests that the agency believes the translation is accurate.
- Can the translator's registration be verified?
- Yes. The registration number is printed on the certificate, and we can provide a copy of the translator's registration card on request so your receiving office can check it.
- Can you continue to legalisation after translation?
- Yes. We routinely continue to the Department of Consular Affairs (Chaeng Watthana) and then to the destination embassy or an Apostille, depending on the receiving country. Tell us the destination and we will quote the whole chain in one go.
