After MFA red-sealing, iLC files at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangkok (Ratchada) to obtain the red + Chinese-script Consular Authentication seal for use in Mainland China: marriage registration in China, WFOE incorporation, court filings, Z work visa, Q family visa, and school admissions. Embassy fees depend on applicant nationality (Thai at the authority's current rate, others per matrix) and are bundled into the iLC price. Includes online slot booking, Application Form V.2013, passport copies, and a Cover Letter meeting the 2026 checklist.

- Non-Thai applicants?
- Accepted — embassy fee varies (US at the authority's current rate, EU at the authority's current rate.
- If rejected?
- Free re-work; you pay only the new embassy fee.
- Can Apostille replace this?
- No — Mainland China is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention. Consular legalization is mandatory.

- Complete English translation of every page, with the translator's statement of accuracy
- Copy of the document holder's passport or Thai national ID card
- Power of attorney with ID copies of both parties if someone else files on your behalf
Common reasons a bundle is rejected
- Countries outside the Apostille Convention still need a further endorsement at the destination embassy.
- Translations that use an unofficial English name for a Thai agency are sent back for correction.
- Spell every name exactly as it appears in the passport, across every document in the same bundle.

How the process runs — Legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs
- Obtain a freshly issued original from the office that produced the record and check that every page is present.
- Prepare a complete translation with the translator's statement of accuracy attached.
- File for legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the original and the translation together.
- Complete the next certification layer required by the destination country — Apostille, or legalization at that country's embassy in Thailand.
- Collect the finished bundle, scan a full copy for your records, then submit it in the format the receiving authority specifies.
